RON'S BBQ Fuel Special
This set has been put together in collaboration with star chef Ron Blaauw and contains all the essentials for grilling to Japanese culture. Grilling on a Shichirin is not just BBQ, but is a completely different discipline. More refined, more elegant and smaller.
The set includes Binchotan charcoal, also called Japanese gold and has a carbon percentage of 96-98%. In addition, the charcoal bed can reach a temperature of 1000 to 1200 degrees. With this charcoal you can prepare your dishes with extreme precision. The total burning time is on average 6 hours. Binchotan does not give off smoke and smell, does not splash and burns at a constant temperature. A real must for every (home) chef.
To light the Binchotan, use the Acacia charcoal and the Firelighter. Acacia charcoal is produced in a 100% natural way and contains smaller pieces, making it ideally suited for making Binchotan. Place a layer of Acacia charcoal in your grill and light it using the Firelighters. Once the Acacia charcoal is well lit, place the Binchotan charcoal on top. The Binchotan charcoal will slowly start to glow and you can enjoy a Japanese grilling session for a long time.
Done grilling but the Binchotan hasn't burned out yet? Lower the Binchotan into water and you can reuse the beautiful pieces afterwards.
Grilling with Binchotan is a fantastic experience, but sometimes you just want to quickly prepare a piece of meat, fish or vegetables. You use the Quick Koko briquettes from this set for this. You only have to light the briquette with a firelighter and you can start within minutes. These briquettes burn for 45 to 60 minutes. Ideal for a quick dinner.
