Just like the XLARGE, the grill surface of the LARGE is easy to expand with the extra raised grid and the pro set. The extra raised grid provides an extra 70% surface area. The pro set allows for extra flexibility, as you can grill on different levels. Also, with this set, it is possible to expose ingredients to direct and indirect fire. This allows you to easily sear meat on one side and continue cooking on the other side to achieve the perfect preparation. The woodchipper allows you to turn any dish into a true taste sensation. With the woodchipper, you add smoke wood without having to open the lid and therefore lose no heat. The access to the woodchipper is double insulated so you can operate the Kamado without burning your fingers.
With a YAKINIKU, you not only get a well-functioning kamado in your home but the black finish ensures that you always have a beautiful eye-catcher in your garden. All kamados are made of ceramic combined with the mineral cordierite. This mineral provides a heat-resistant finish together with type 304 stainless steel. The kamado large can easily be arranged with the pro set consisting of: multilevel lift, half-moon grids and the half-moon heat deflectors. The heat deflectors are the ideal accessory for cooking and cooking at lower temperatures. The reason is that a choice can be made between cooking on direct and indirect fire. The direct flame allows quick cooking or searing of pieces of meat. With the indirect fire, the meat can cook further, so you always achieve the right preparation. This way of cooking can also be used in combination with the cast-iron cooking grid, specially designed for the kamado bbq large. This accessory ensures you get very nice grill stripes on the meat. These stripes not only ensure a delicious flavour but also preserve all the juices in the meat.

This grid provides an extra 70% of grilling surface. Dividing between different types of food has never been easier. YAKINIKU's kamados are versatile. Using the pizza stone is a good example of this, although it can only be used in combination with the heat deflectors. The stone can handle temperatures of around 300 degrees and absorbs excess moisture so you always have a crispy pizza.
The LARGE kamado is of course a nice size to incorporate in an outdoor kitchen. This can be realised very easily with the handy table nest. This nest ensures a safe distance between the furniture and the kamado, preventing unwanted burn marks on the wood. With the base and side tables, the kamado can also easily be placed elsewhere in the garden. The side tables naturally expand your storage space so you always have enough room for: your tongs, extra meat or a nice beer.
The LARGE kamado from YAKINIKU can be nicely combined with our cast-iron grid or a Teppanyaki plate to further expand the choices you already had. The cast iron grid was created to get the authentic grill stripes on the meat. These stripes are also known as the signature of the master griller. Beware! There is also the option of cooking in combination with a Teppanyaki plate. This plate is widely used in Japanese cuisine and gives a good representation of this refined cooking technique. On the stainless steel plate, all dishes can be prepared at the same time: meat, poultry, fish or vegetables, you are in charge of your grill.
Almost all YAKINIKU models feature an opening where smoke wood can easily be added. This can be done by using the woodchipper made entirely of stainless steel type 304 material. YAKINIKU's kamados are equipped with an opening so that the lid of the kamado does not need to be opened and no heat is lost. As a result, the process is not disturbed and the smoke flavour can soak into your food. This not only gives an authentic flavour but also a very nice colour to the food.
The kamado is basically an entire kitchen in one product. You can slow cook, quickly sear meat or even bake a pizza. Two air vents make it very easy to set the temperature. At the start, open both sliders at the top and bottom all the way and you will see that the temperature will gradually rise. It is important that the dome first reaches a heat of 180 degrees before adding the accessories. After this, the kamado will cool down a little and you can use the air supply to set your own temperature. For cooking pizza, for example, 300 degrees is the ideal temperature. If you want to cook your spare ribs for a longer time, you might prefer a temperature of 120 to 130 degrees.
The LARGE comes standard with Fiberglass felt which ensures optimum heat retention. This strip is very easy to replace by scraping the felt off the edge, using a handy adhesive strip to give the whole kamado a clean finish. For the rest of the maintenance, you can use the handy cleaning kit. This kit actually contains all parts which ensure that your kamado can be used like new again.
