All Kamados from YAKINIKU® have a luxurious black finish and are made with the best materials. With a combination of extra thick ceramic and cordierite, your Kamado can handle all weather conditions. The use of type 304 stainless steel provides the further heat-resistant finish. In short, with a Kamado from YAKINIKU®, you not only get a high-quality product, but you also give your garden or (outdoor) kitchen a luxurious look. The MEDIUM Kamado is easy to expand with an extra raised grid, which provides an extra 70% grilling surface. In combination with the multilevel lift and a heat shield you can easily keep ingredients warm or let them cook through to achieve the perfect cooking. To create the ultimate taste sensation, finish your dishes by using the woodchipper. This allows you to add smoking wood without having to open the lid of your Kamado, so you don't lose any heat. The access to the woodchipper is double insulated, so you can operate the Kamado without burning your fingers.
The YAKINIKU, which literally means grilled meat, is a Kamado based on a traditional model. Yakiniku kamados are available in multiple models so that everyone will always have a kamado to suit their needs. The Kamado medium is the middle model in the series and is actually an ideal option for every conceivable garden. Grilling on a YAKINIKU is actually always a feast because you can prepare your food in different ways. Whether you go for slow cooking, quick cooking or baking and pizza at a high temperature, you do it with the 16-inch Medium Kamado.
YAKINIKU's Kamado 's are composed of the best materials to ensure the best grilling conditions. For instance, all models are made of extra-strong ceramic combined with the mineral cordierite. This combination ensures that your Medium Kamado can withstand all weather conditions. The round shape gives as functionality that the air circulation is optimally regulated so that you create an oven effect, as it were. The Kamado bbq 16-inch thus reaches temperatures above 300⁰. This is the perfect temperature for baking a pizza within minutes with our handy pizza stone. To further optimise the Kamado's operability, type 304 stainless steel has been used; the choice of this material ensures a heat-resistant finish.
The grid of the MEDIUM Kamado is 40cm, this ensures that you can surprise a group of friends of five with a delicious meal. The MEDIUM Kamado has a good size which also provides many options for expansion. For example, the extra raised grid can be added. This grid provides an extra grilling surface of no less than 70%. It also allows you to cook at different heights and prepare several dishes at the same time. For example, you can easily keep vegetables, fish and meat separate for people with allergies or vegetarians. When it comes to extensions, the easy trolley with side plates is of course a must. The base allows for flexible movement so you can install the Kamado in different places in the garden.
The MEDIUM can also be easily built into beautiful garden furniture in combination with the stainless steel table nest. This nest ensures that there is a safe space with the furniture so there are no burn marks. The size of this model means the options are actually unlimited. The finish with the black ceramic also gives a very nice touch to any garden. So the Medium Kamado is not only very useful but also looks great. The side boards that come with the base provide extra space to put away various accessories.
Almost every model from YAKINIKU is equipped with an airtight inlet for adding smoking wood. In combination with our woodchipper, adding a well-known smoke flavour is very easy. The different types of smoking wood in the range ensure that everyone can meet their own needs. The advantage of this entrance is that the Kamado can remain closed, so no heat is lost. The smoking wood should be moistened beforehand so that the wood does not burn immediately on contact with the charcoal.
The MEDIUM Kamado comes standard with an extra strong stainless steel grid. The added value of a Medium Kamado really comes to the fore when controlling the temperature. The Kamado is equipped with two air intakes, both at the top and bottom. When lighting your Kamado, open both the bottom air vent and the top daisy wheel all the way. The temperature will gradually increase so that the dome of the Kamado can warm up properly. After this, you can decide what temperature to use. Thanks to the measurement units, you therefore set the same temperature every time.
YAKINIKU's kamados can be set up entirely according to your own wishes & needs. A strength of the Kamado is grilling on direct or indirect fire. This can easily be realised with the use of the heat deflector in combination with the lift. It is advisable to let the Kamado reach temperature first before adding the accessories. When adding the heat deflector, for example, slow cooking can be realised because the food does not come into direct contact with the fire. So you can sear the meat on an open flame first and then let it cook through. By doing so, you ensure that the meat is very tender and all the juices remain intact.
The grill grid can also be easily replaced by, for example, the cast-iron grid or the Teppanyaki plate. The former allows you to create beautiful grill stripes on the meat. These stripes are actually the grill master's signature and, of course, you do not want people to easily forget your piece of meat. The stripes not only provide a nice finish but also keep the juices in the meat so that your rib-eye is deliciously tender. There is also the choice of using the Teppanyaki plate. This is a metal plate that provides plenty of overview. You can easily prepare several types of food in the same place and after use you only have to wash one component, which of course provides a lot of convenience. In addition, this plate is often used in Japanese cuisine, so you get a piece of Japanese cooking technique at home, as it were.
The above options naturally provide plenty of opportunities to try out and test all kinds of things. Besides using the Kamado a lot, maintenance of a YAKINIKU is also very important. To provide the best possible maintenance, the protective cover was created. This cover ensures that the Kamado is optimally protected against all weather conditions and scratches, for instance. The felt on the edges of the ceramic is also very important. This ensures a heat-resistant finish so that all the heat stays inside the Kamado. The MEDIUM Kamado comes standard with the fibreglass felt which is completely heat-resistant. However, this will need to be replaced over time to continuously achieve the best results.
