A BBQ gift for someone who already owns a grill
Once someone starts cooking over charcoal, they keep adding to their kit: a plate to fry on, a grid that leaves proper sear marks, a seasoning blend for next time. That is what we built this giftshop for. You will find gifts for owners of a Kamado and a Shichirin, from a small surprise to an upgrade that lets the grill do far more than just grill. Whether you are shopping for your dad, your partner or the friend who lights the coals every weekend, every gift here is one that gets used.
Gifts for the Kamado owner
The right accessories make a Kamado far more versatile. On a teppanyaki plate you can fry eggs, sliced vegetables and prawns. It comes in COMPACT and MEDIUM sizes. For the XLARGE there is a stainless steel half moon, so you can keep grilling on the other half. A cast iron grid holds a lot of heat and gives a steak crisp sear marks. Choose from the COMPACT, MEDIUM, LARGE or the half moon for the XLARGE.
The Vulcano concentrates the heat of the coals in one spot. That lets you sear meat quickly and heat up your grid just before grilling. Place the food at the edge of the grid and you are cooking indirectly. The Vulcano also doubles as a wok stand. It is available for the MEDIUM and COMPACT and for the LARGE, XLARGE and XXLARGE.
Pizza lovers will be happy with the pizza scoop or the pizza slide for the XLARGE. The rotisserie spit turns whole chickens or rolled roasts slowly over the heat, and the tandoori set brings Indian cooking to your grill. For baking and dishes that catch easily there are baking mats: the baking mat (2 pieces), the round baking mat (4 pieces) and the half moon baking mat (6 pieces). They are made for the Kamado and also work in a standard oven.
Gifts for the Shichirin enthusiast
A Shichirin is a grill for the dinner table. With the YAKINIKU stainless steel strainer you can grill small vegetables, prawns or pieces of fruit without them slipping through the grid. Afterwards, the Shichirin ash brush sweeps out the ash in a few strokes. To give someone proper fuel, choose Binchotan. It burns for a long time, gets hot and does not spit: exactly what you want when grilling at the table. The easiest way to light it is with the Binchopan [link to Binchopan product page: unconfirmed].
A gift of flavour: EldurApi and Japanese seasonings
Seasonings make a gift every griller appreciates. The EldurApi range has something for every stage of cooking:
- Rubs: for chicken, meat and fish, such as the Meat Rub and the Fish Rub.
- Salts: Black Salt, Himalaya Salt, Smoked Salt, Fish Salt and Veggie Salt. If you brine chicken or turkey beforehand, you need the Allbrine Salt.
- Glazes: for a glossy finish on ribs and chicken: Honey Mustard, Sweet BBQ and Hot Chili.
- Marinades: for fish, meat and shellfish.
- Classic herbs: BBQ Herbs, Chicken Herbs, Provencal Herbs, Fish Herbs and Meat Herbs. For an extra smoky flavour there are the Charcoal Fire Herbs.
- Mixes: Nori Mix, Sumac Mix, Sarada Mix and Hummus Mix.
- Bouillons: as a base for sauces and gravy: Veggie, Chicken, Beef and Fish.
- Dip: the Herb Butter Dip.
For a smaller gift, our Japanese Szechuan Pepper and Japanese Smoked Salt are a good choice. Not sure which to pick? One of the spice sets is always a safe bet.
Tools every griller uses
- Meat claws 2.0: shred pulled pork in a few minutes.
- Sauce mop: for brushing sauce or marinade over the meat during long cooks.
- Flambadou: a cast iron cone you heat in the fire and fill with fat. The fat drips over the meat in flames and gives it a crisp crust.
- Blowpipe: for fanning the coals exactly where you need it.
- Axe: for splitting your own wood.
- Wooden cutting board: big enough for a whole brisket.
- Also in this corner: the BBQ spatula set and the Himalaya saltstone, for cooking and serving fish, meat and vegetables.
Cookbooks for every grill
A cookbook lasts for years.
- The Kamado book: in English, Dutch and German.
- The Shichirin book: in English, Dutch and German.
- The Vegetable book: in Dutch. Grilling does not always have to be about meat.
Gift card or workshop
Not sure which grill or size someone has? Give a YAKINIKU gift card of €10, €25, €50 or €100. If you would rather give an experience, choose a workshop gift voucher: a session of grilling with our chefs at the mancave in Terneuzen, the Netherlands. As a little extra, add our Kanpai beer, the YAKINIKU bottle or a YAKINIKU badge.
A BBQ gift for every occasion
Christmas, Father’s Day or a birthday: a gift from the giftshop suits every occasion. Seasonings and meat claws make great stocking fillers, a cookbook or a cast iron grid fits nicely under the tree, and a workshop is an experience people talk about for a long time.
